So far I've missed two days of blogging so this one will be a little long to get everyone caught up.
We left Lancaster about 10:00 am hoping to make it to Kingman AZ. However hubby got a stomach bug and that didnt happen. In fact he was feeling so bad that I absolutely insisted we stop and we parked overnight (with permission) in Topock AZ on the Colorado River with no hook ups but it was a perfect place for him to rest. We got up the next morning with no cell phone because we had no power and somehow had left without the push plug that goes into the lighter plug..... so we had breakfast (well I did anyway he couldnt eat his and I found a plug at the local Shell gas station and we were back on the road on I40.
On the 16th we got into Flagstaff and got new plates and registration for Phoenix (the RV). Our goal was to make it to the Navajo Nation Museum since I am a Harvest Host member but hubby just couldn't make it. Driving a 32ft class A takes a lot of concentration especially when dealing with weather. So I recalculated our plans for the night and we spent the evening at a lovely RV park called Meteor Crator RV Park.
Our spot at Meteor Crator RV Park.
Up very early this morning we got our showers and walked Ginger and we were back on the highway at 8:00 am hoping we would make it to Santa Rosa NM where I had reservations and prepaid..... ummmm well what I've learned with RV life is that you better be flexible and have multiple plans and even those might not pan out. For instance I really wanted us to get further on our journey today but we got in about 228 miles which is about 6 hours when you are driving 55. Our RV is happy to go faster but its much harder to control so 55 it is.
Our fur babies are tolerating the trip ok. Turbo yells every morning when we start out but stops fairly quickly. He is just voicing his unhappiness at getting woke up. Ginger wants to help her dad drive and is mad that i wont let her. She is a little freaked out by the big window and seeing all the vehicles go by and she hates the rain and windshield wipers so she hides under the sofa. and then comes out to get in my lap again and she does this multiple times. Its an adjustment period for them. Once we stop for the day they are happy as clams.
Tomorrows plan is to make it to the New Mexico Texas state line. That will be our longest ride yet at 272 miles. I hope can make it. I hope hubby is feeling better too. Its hard seeing him not feel well and struggle because he knows I have events.
So here are some of the pictures I've taken over the last couple of days.
Gosh here we are five days from pulling out of Los Angeles County. We are up in the high desert and wow its sure been windy. We went to the Poppy Preserve yesterday and the wind was blowing so hard we nearly got blown away!
The other day I purchased a program that will map out our routes and even how much gas we will use and places to camp. I am really happy about that because I only want to travel like 300 miles per day to reduce strain on Devlan. Driving a 32 ft class A RV is not like driving your sedan. Its a lot more like driving a city bus or a big rig. We are however very excited to get on the road and I promise to blog every travel day - the good bad and the ugly.
Its going to take about six days to get to my sons house in Conway AR and then another three days to get to Johnstown PA. While we are used to living in the RV now its going to be another adjustment as we prepare it for travel. That means all my pretty stuff has to get put away so it doesn't fly around the RV and land on my noggin lol.
There is so much to think about and prepare for and once we hit PA this girl has a full calendar for the month of May so I am working hard to get all those crazy ducks in a row before we leave in five days! I have no idea what internet will be like on the road either.
And of course we have to factor in the fur babies. This will be a very long trip for both Turbo and Ginger.
Well keep watch for our posts and pictures!

April 9, 2019
On Christmas morning 2018 Devlan and I left Sedona for California to spend the winter with our grown children and grandkids.
That morning about 80 miles out of Sedona on Highway 17 the axle on the RV broke and caused the RV to crash. Our angels were watching out for Devlan that morning for sure. He walked away just bruised but everything we had worked for was totaled. A year of work renovating Blue Belle was totaled.. I was driving my car ahead of him with Ginger and he had Turbo with him (thankfully in a crate). It was horrifying to see the crash from my rear view mirror.
About ten days after the crash we found a second RV which we named Phoenix (coming out of the ashes). This time we went with a Class A RV but we are back in renovation mode and living in it as we renovate. So far so good. We have begun to paint the interior and purchased new cellular blinds and I will post before and after pictures a bit later.
We spent all of January basically licking our wounds and spending quality time with our family here in So Cal.
Feb 2019 till April will be spent renovating the RV and continuing to assist clients remotely through readings and getting our YouTube Chanel up and going. So 2019 is looking very busy for us!
April 2019 we will spend in Parker AZ and then we will be heading east. We have plans to be out east till fall and at this point other than PA I am not yet sure of exactly where we will be although VA and SC are in the works. As we travel across the country the best place to see where we are is by following us on Facebook.
I was asked for my thoughts on this today and so I decided that I would blog about it here.
As some of you know I was certified by Doreen Virtue in 2014 in Baltimore along with my friend Karen.
I enjoyed meeting Doreen but you know she was already making some life changes at that time. She had gone back to her natural hair color and during our class announced that all her future classes would now be in Hawaii. Now these may seem insignificant to you but I see them as her seeking to make changes in her own life.
Now I'd been giving angel readings for about ten years prior to her class and our methods of reading were completely different. I continued doing my readings based on the information given to me by MY angels and guides. Frankly I didn't feel as if I had gotten much from the class but it was nice meeting an icon in the New Age field. I also felt that her certification might bring in more clients for angel readings, I can honestly say that since I never made a big deal out of it most people didn't know I was certified by her.
So, now am I mad at her for her new path to organized religion and her claims to giving up Tarot and oracle cards for "contemplation/prayer" cards? Not at all. We are all on our journey. How Doreen Virtue feels about Tarot, angel cards, fairy cards, oracle cards, divination or "fortune telling" or praying to false Gods has ZERO effect on me or my practice both privately and professionally. What she does, says or expresses in youtube or Facebook or anywhere else is not going to halt or alter messages from MY angels or guides or yours. She has no control over any type of messages being given to you.
I am however saddened for those who took her words as gospel and now feel lost. I'm also very sad for those who have spent hundreds or thousands of dollars on her classes and products. I did a search tonight and she is still offering classes for as much as $444.00 and what if any value that will have is beyond me to say. I however would NOT take any classes or purchase any products from her based on her own comments. So those who have spent large sums of money taking multiple classes - I understand how you could be upset.
I am also disappointed in that Doreen felt it necessary to condemn those of us in the spiritual profession and those who feel drawn to the multitude of oracle cards she has created over the years because she decided to change her path. I believe in God and a Higher Power and Angels and Guides and frankly I'm a bit sad she felt she had to prove something to organized religion in order to be worthy of them, Maybe I have that part wrong - it is just my perception and I am doing my best to not judge. Not judging is a bit more difficult when I think of how much money she has made off the people she now says need to stop reading the Tarot and burn her cards and books. Is all of this just a publicity stunt or ploy to get people to buy her new Jesus books/prayer cards or worse sell out her tarot and oracle cards before they are removed and no longer in print? I these are fair questions to ask yourself.
All this being said, the bottom line is this is her journey. She's just like you and I. She's human and she can change her mind about her spiritual beliefs. I don't hold it against her one way or the other. My life doesn't change because of Doreen Virtue.
So that's my 2 cents for what its worth. I've always held Buddha's words close to my heart. He said "Don't listen to anyone - even me. Follow your own path." Or something along those lines. Be yourself. Let Doreen be herself.
Just home yesterday from an epic 6 week trip back east! Some of the cool places I went to are Churchill Downs, The Big Texan in Amarillo - best steak ever! The Oklahoma City Memorial and Musuem which was just intense with spirit activity for me to even finish the musuem! I also went to the St Louis Bascilica to light a candle for a sweet young soul who had recently passed. I went to Dodge City where my grandma was born 100 years ago and reunited her with her birth mom who died when grandma was just 3 weeks old by bringing her ashes to her mothers grave -it was VERY emotional for me and Dodge City just felt sad and depressed to me even though it was right in the middle of their big Dodge City days. The local newspaper did a front page article on my grandmother and her mother. In between all of this I did tons of readings, reiki Classes, private and group hypnosis sessions, gave Reiki to a home bound client and to a clients daughter in the icu at Pittsburgh children's hospital and gave readings at the very haunted 130 year old hotel in Windber Pa, The Grand Midway. I was also fortunate enough to work with a fantastic paranormal investigation team from Pittsburgh at the Grand Midway. I also was able to spend time with my oldest son and his family and lots of friends from Pa. overall it was a great summer! What did you do?
